Also I have had a couple of questions about the firewire port. In no way is it broken, when Sony designed the cameras they designed it so the start/stop signal does not go through firewire, no Sony camera will start or stop a firestore device by DV control. Again the camera is in perfect condition, and I will guarantee it.

Okay, perhaps the price was too high for the IDX kit - I'm open to other offers either by part or as a kit.

I really have no idea what to even ask for the camera, I was hoping to get some input about what to charge for it from some people who know more about what used equipment goes for than I do. It'd be easiest to sell it to you since you are so close, we could easily meet up so you could check it out before you buy it and no one will have to worry about getting ripped off. But I will definitely sell it to whoever is willing to work out a deal fair to both of us. Anyone have a recommendation for about how much I should be asking?

i have two of these kits, and only need one. the one i'm selling here is brand new in the original box, only taken out for an inspection. the base is horizontally and vertically (with the shim kit) adjustable to accomodate most cameras, and the base/rods are standard arri 15mm, so they will fit arri, chrosziel, petroff, cavision and century matte boxes, follow focus setups, and other accessories -- not only the redrock stuff. it's a really solid kit, and a much nicer build than my previous cavision setup.

I have upgraded to a new Canon XL2 so this XL1s needs to go to someone who is looking for a good buy. This unit has never been used as a deck as I have a full blown studio with capture deck for those chores. It’s always traveled in a padded case, been cleaned on a regular basis and very well taken care of. It does have one large scratch on it, located on the top carry handle (see pictures). The camera has never given me any mechanical trouble and has been a good performer during the type of run and gun shooting my video production business requires. It’s still got lots of years of dependable operation left in it for someone who needs a good, solid 3 CCD camera.

I shoot video for hunting industry, hence the camo job on the camera. I hide from animals for a living, so the white body parts on the camera had to be covered. The camo tape is a special type that leaves no residue when removed, so you can remove it if you want or I can do it for you. There is, however, one thing about the lens you should know. I blacked out the white part of the focus ring with a permanent black marker because I could never get the tape to stay on that small, much handled area.

Price: $1650 firm, plus shipping/insurance and PayPal fees if applicable.

The normal response to this question without the "24p 2332" is any camera. What you are tranferring via firewire with a normal MiniDV recording are the 0's and 1's making up the digital file. You would think that would not change, as long as the what is being tranferred is DV. I am curious about what others have experienced too.

I'm looking for a 35mm adapter that someone has around and is not using. With all the different models out there, it doesn't matter too much which one you have, as long as you have gotten good results w/ it.
