I'm looking for any of the XL series to kick start my Video business. I live in Sydney and its really hard to find people nearby who have 2ndhand cams.

Anyway.... Worth a shot to ask before I head off in the Trading post and online classifieds. So, who's got an old XL1 and XL1s or prefferably an XL2 to sell within australia?

Very interested.... hope you got my e-mail.

But I live in Sydney Australia, and I hope this is not a problem.

I need PAL version second hand or cheap of either dvx or fx1e! Can anyone help me or point to the right direction.

These were requested by an HVX user. They are stills captured from the GS400 with the adapter attached at 2278x1728 (resized for web)

GS400 still shot 1, adapter attached. (http://www.fortvir.net/gallery/album05/IMGA0826)
GS400 still shot 2, adapter attached. (http://www.fortvir.net/gallery/album05/IMGA0826)

Note that with the 50mm f1.4 at this range, the DOF is extremely shallow...only about an inch.

Dennis, has this been tested on a DVX 100a? I've been reading your thread over at pana3ccduser and am getting pretty interested in this thing.

Dennis Wood
February 12th, 2006, 01:35 PM
It hasn't, but I can virtually guarantee it will work just fine. I can zoom well past (not to suggest you should btw) the vignetting in 16:9 mode on the GS400...which has a 15% wider field of view than 4:3 mode. So in 4:3 mode there is even more leeway....and this applies more to the DVX100's 4:3 CCD footprint.

The rear barrel section is threaded and therefore adjustable about 1/2" to allow even more leaway.

Hey guys,
I have a sennheiser MKH416 that I'd like to sell. It's a great shotgun microphone, but a little too much for my purposes. It's goes for $1630 CAD at vistek.ca, and cost over $1900 CAD with taxes. I'M OPEN TO OFFERS. Shipping would be to Canada and the US would be whatever it cost me. If you live in or around Toronto, you can pick it up.

It comes with a windscreen and foam lined hard case.

Other information:
With Windows Xp 64-bit, it benches around the same as a Dual 2Ghz G5.

The raid controller makes an audible beep if one of your hard disks is failing, and works great in RAID 10 for double redundancy.

Anybody need something transfered from DVCPRO50, DVCPRO, or BETA SP to D-5? Or D-5 material captured to an internal drive? I'm sure we could negoiate something.

This is directed at all of you with FU1000 finders, or those of you with two XL2 EVF's.

I am looking to grab a colour EVF to use with my Redrock M2 (so I can open it up and flip the LCD around).

The part from Canon sells a bit too much, so if anyone wants to make a couple hundred bucks, let me know.

I don't think the FU-1000 is colour... I think only B&W...
Good luck with the search.

Mathieu,

He's not looking FOR an Fu-1000 he's looking for people who have one, and want to sell their color EVF.

I have an FU-1000, but keep my color viewfinder as a backup, for when I want to see color, or use the flip open aspect. I suspect most FU-1000 owners will feel the same.

Howdy...

I have an iPod 60GB Video (white) for sale. It's in it's original box. I'm the original owner.

I've had a protection skin on it since day one, on the front and back. It's basically invisible, but means that there are no scratches on the unit itself.

Comes with a silicon skin case that protects from bumps when necessary

Also included: Apple AV cable for playing back on your TV set, and a set of inMotion IM3 speakers that were purchased used from eBay. The speakers work well except for the docking connector (was designed for a previous iPod version). I use a short audio cable instead.

So, in summary:

Ipod Video 60GB White in box
Clear skin protector (applied since day 1)
Silicon skin case
IM3 Speakers
Apple AV Cable

$380 - Happy to do PayPal...

I'm asking $180 for the adapter.

Used on two wedding shoots and about 20-30 hours of personal use. Great camera, in great condition. I've always used a UV filter on the lens, the camera has been stored in it's camera bag in a clean environment and rarely been used outside.

I love this camera, but I recently upgraded my gear so I no longer need this baby. I've got some peripherals with it too: Beachtek xlr adapter, raynox .3 semi fisheye lens, 3 watt sony video light, two batteries (FP-330 and FP750), camera bag and UV filter.

I'd like to sell as a package, but I'm open to any offers.

.55x is a little too wide for me, I'm shooting real estate tours and walls and columns start to bend noticeably with a .55x lens.

But thanks for the offer
