Included in the package is 3 batteries, battery charger, UV Polarizing filter, 3 macros, Remote Control, AV Cables, Firewire cable, Canon HC-4100 Hard Case, and a homemade Mini35 made with a Beattie Intenscreen. 5 Brand new TDK MiniDV tapes are included as well. The GL1 has probably been used to record roughly 30 tapes total, and was never used to capture. A seperate MiniDV camera was used as a deck and so the wear on the heads of the GL1 is negligable at worst. I am also the original owner, so I can confirm the light usage and lack of any head problems for the entire life of the camera. Cosmetically, the camera looks great. There are no dents, marks or scratches. Included in the package is my own Mini35 adapter, which is worth $300 simply in parts, not including the work put into making it. The Beattie Intenscreen for Fuji GX-680 series screen was used as the ground glass, and currently sells for $239 at B&H. This adapter allows the user to achieve the most shallow depth of field possible for video, greatly increasing the merit and composition of any shot. Also, the adapter was made to be bayonet mounting, so rails are unnecessary and you can even walk around handheld with this! After using this adapter, I never shot again without it. Here is an example of the Depth of Field and quality of image possible with this adapter http://www.hannahjarvie.com/jeff/minidv.jpg Also included is the HC-4100 Canon Hard case, which currently sells for $239 at B&H. This has some scratches and wear as it was accidentally dented in a trunk closing, but is otherwise in great shape. The package also includes 2 Canon long life batteries (3 hours each), 1 Canon 90 minute battery, and a Canon charger for the batteries. -- BP-930, BP-930R (displays exact remaining time in minutes), and BP-915 Here is a picture of the Camera mounted on my tripod (not included). I am selling this camera to upgrade to an XL2 http://www.hannahjarvie.com/mini35/adapter.jpg http://www.hannahjarvie.com/jeff/package.jpg I'm asking $1400 shipped, or best offer. Email me at jephang@gmail.com or PM me Andrew Todd February 3rd, 2006, 09:35 PM this footage from this cam and your adapter looks good too http://hannahjarvie.com/mini35/sample.mov Jim Morlino February 3rd, 2006, 10:43 PM Jeff, Let me know more a.s.a.p. - extremely interested. - Jim Morlino Jason Chang February 3rd, 2006, 11:46 PM Jeff, Would you consider selling your "mini 35" seperately? Scott Hayes February 4th, 2006, 06:53 AM Jim, the unit is a loaded up V20. give Jeff a shout via his email, he has pics he can send you. the thing was worn twice. Thanks for your interest! Jim Morlino February 4th, 2006, 07:06 AM Scott, Thanks, I emailed him last night - haven't heard back yet. Is the V-20 OK for the XL-1? - Jim Derek Grimes February 4th, 2006, 08:44 AM How much for the camera? Also, I could not get the links to work. How many hours are on the camera? Jeff Phang February 4th, 2006, 09:51 AM What camera do you have? You have to have a GL1/GL2 to use it Scott Hayes February 4th, 2006, 10:04 AM Jim, you may not hear back from him till monday, cuz I don't think he checks his work email from home. I think he was heading to Louisville to see his mom. The V20 is will be fine for the XL1, and should you step up to a larger, shoulder mounted rig, it will work great for that as well! Stephen L. Noe February 4th, 2006, 10:08 AM Hi Derek, I sent you an email through this forum. S.Noe George Loch February 4th, 2006, 01:04 PM So, what bike ya gettin? :) *bump for MX* -gl Ben Bixby February 4th, 2006, 01:07 PM So, what bike ya gettin? :) *bump for MX* -gl 06' CRF250.... I was on an 05 YZ250F but the darn things don't turn at all. My brother got the 06 CRF and I fell in love with the handling. George Loch February 4th, 2006, 01:10 PM *thumbs up* < I'll keep my MX convos on the other boards :) > Thumper *cough* talk -gl Adam Rench February 4th, 2006, 02:03 PM Hey all, I'm getting the JVC GY-HD100U cam so I'm selling the Canon XL2. I used it to film one short film so it probably has about 10 hours of usage and that's overstating it a little. I've used only the best miniDV tapes in it, I used my smaller miniDV camera to capture and I've had a UV protector filter on it at all times. It's in pristine shape. Ships with original box, the 20x Canon lens, battery, charger, all accessories, and I will also include a 2 filter set including the UV filter & Polorizer ($79), and an extra larger capacity battery (model LIC941 $79). Asking price is $3800. Thanks! Either shoot me an email or respond to this thread. Dean Sensui February 4th, 2006, 07:15 PM Just FYI: You can use a smaller camera with a rig designed to take a heavier load by adding weights to the camera stage -- it will behave as though it has a heavier load. But you can't go the other way around: use a heavier camera on a rig designed to take a lighter load. Jason Chang February 4th, 2006, 07:38 PM Jeff: Why? Isn't it a 58mm thread-mount adaptor? Jason Jim Karrels February 4th, 2006, 08:00 PM I bought some XL2-related stuff from Dennis. He's an honest guy. Jim Morlino February 4th, 2006, 09:34 PM Scott, Thanks for the info and advise - I think I'm leaning toward a cheaper rig like the Smooth Shooter/4000 set up. That decision will also allow me to pick up the wide 3:1 XL-1 lens. Would you have a line on either of those, by any chance? Thanks again. - Jim Brian Bechard February 4th, 2006, 09:37 PM Still for sale??? Jeff Phang February 5th, 2006, 12:56 AM No, it's bayonet mounting Chris Hurd February 5th, 2006, 01:18 AM Thread title changed. Was: "FS: Canon GL1 with Mini35." There is no P+S Technik Mini35 in this package. Instead, it's a homemade 35mm adapter. New title is now "FS: Canon GL1 with Homemade Adapter." Dino Santoro February 5th, 2006, 07:13 AM Thanks to everyone who showed interest but the camera has been sold. If your interested in a Sennheiser shotgun mic let me know. |
