Hi DVi Forum,

I'm not really someone who browses the forums on a regular basis but I thought you guys will be my best bet in pointing me in the right direction.

I am looking to buy a Sony FX7e (PAL) in the near future and I'd like to buy one for around $2000 Aus (Give or take a couple of hundred)

I've looked at ebay and being watching many items but they're selling at a price which is a little too dear for me or it is a NTSC format.

Are there any websites which have a For Sale section which advertises second hand cameras?

Am I being naive thinking that I'd be able to buy an FX7 for $2000?

Are there any people on here who are selling a Sony FX7E for around that price?

Will

Presumably there isn't a www.google.aus then?

Sorry to say it but I think your chances of getting one at that price, even second hand, are slim given that the RRP is currently $6300 and rising.

I took my chances with a grey market import on ebay for $3200 last year which had no warranty, but even those are becoming rarer and more expensive.

Just made a quick price check and its actually cheaper to import a brand new Z1 (which is PAL/NTSC switchable) from the US than to buy a new FX7 here.

The last one I saw second hand on ebay went for about $2800 "buy it now" with a few spare batteries and a bag, but it dissapeared in a matter of hours after being listed.

You'd be lucky to get a VX2100 second hand for $2000 at the moment.

Yowza!!

B&H in New York have the FX7E available new for US$2,495.00 plus shipping.

Will,

I bought an FX 7 that I don't use. (We have two Ex 1's).

Please contact me if you're interested.
