I don't believe so. I got it last October so it is just barely a year old now. I do have the most recent firmware loaded as well. I have never seen the overheating message but have never really used it for an hour straight through either.

These are pics of the Senheisser unit, there is another cable that goes from the receiver to your recorder or mixer which is not shown here. Thanks to a tape one of the units have a bit of the paint off ( better notice on the vertical pic) but nothing that affects the use of the unit. I don't have the original box but I believe to still have the manual, if I do It will be included also.
