I had this A1s for a while but did not work that much to realy justify the awsomeness of this A1s. It been with me on 2 wedding and it sat most of the time on tripod on those two wedding while i'm roaming with the 5D. About 7tapes ran on it. I sold my A1 about a year ago and the accessories like remote, Charger, component cable and box are sold with that camera. I didn't plan on selling this A1s and i have no need for those accessories so i dont have it now. If you need the remote you can order for around $45, component cable for $35.

can this work with sony fx7 and what are the file types they are saved as?

Yes as long as it have the firewire. this work much easier than the Sony HDRMR1k(i had that before). It recorder to MTS(ithink) ill double check and post back or .MOV file.
