Canada has an agreement with US to protect each others ‘special’ frequencies especially within (I think) 100Km from the boarder. Anything US does Canada has to adopt it and anything Canada does US has to adopt it as well. Therefore, Industry Canada has adopted the same restrictions in Canada as FCC adopted in US regarding 700MHz band.

With all the good advice from some to keep these items I decided to sell regardless. I will entertain your offers but as I know most of you here are on a tight budget I may or may not get the price range I'd expect. The rig is estimated between 8-10K for both vest and Sled. Now this is allot for many on this board but like I said, I will entertain your offers and if I see something I like, than fine. I'll let it go for that price. But what you get are components that you will find on top stabilizer brands. N.B. The sled comes with only one AB Trimpac 14.4v battery. I have two more that I borrowed as well as a charger. But guy is willing to sell it. So if you're interested than he will give me a good deal. As you know chargers cost a lot and this one have place to charge 4 AB batteries.

Custom sled:

* 1.5" outer Carbon Fiber post

* Aluminum inner post (not painted)

* Steadicam Archer I top stage with a modified 3-pol 24v contact addition ( bought from Steadicam operator Rick Lewis. Rick had the 24v installed)

* Lower junction box contacts have:

1. 2 Hirose 'video out'

2. 2 BNC 'video out'

3. 2 (2-pol) LEMO 12v 'power out'

4. 12/24v (3-pol) LEMO 'power out'

5. HD-SDI contact (not wired internally)

6. 1 12v 'power in' (MK-V wired)

7. 1 12/24v 'power in' (MK-V wired)

8. ON/OFF switch for entire system

9. 12 to 24v switch

* 1 12/24v dual AB Battery Mount (from MK-v)

* 1 AB GOLD battery mount

* Steadicam EFP Gimbal ( bought from Steadicam operator, Steve Fracol. It was serviced before I bought it)

* MK-v EFP replacement knurled gimbal grip

* A 4-point VD (video distributor). So all video outputs on the bottom connectors are wired. There is one contact left over for another.

* The lower lower battery mount can be adjusted for fore & Aft, by loosening the Manfrotto 357 slider. I had another slider which made it easier for micro adjustment but it did not deem too be very solid. So I exchanged
it for the 357, which is more solid. Any number of batteries can be used. 1-3. I installed a Schottky diode within each battery mount for extra safety. This prevents power from flowing back into itself. There are two Automatic 5A fuses installed. (you can replace these 5A with 10A instead. My Tech guy felt the 10A wasn't needed at the time, since I was not flying anything that power consuming. I had planned on changing it but never got around to doing it) . The fuses are marked with the number 7 & 8. When this trips all you have to do is push the button to reset the system.

The internal wiring of the system, which is pretty much the same as the standard systems available today. You get a rough schematic of the internal wiring of the system, which is pretty much the same as the standard systems available today. But just to be sure I did a schematic so you know how the wiring is done.

The monitor is an 9" SD monitor. Nothing fancy except you can rotate the pic. This works perfectly if you decide to go into low mode and do not want to rotate the entire monitor. The monitor has a 450nit. I know it is not that much but you can replace it or you can just decide to get the sled without the monitor. But you will have to make your own monitor mount. The rods are Cf but only strong very light monitors. I would suggest aluminum rods instead.

.........................

* A heavily modified EFP Steadicam vest. I had new parts machined with thicker material at the chest plate and spar, since the original spars were broken when I purchased the vest from Steadicam operator Elite, Steve
Fracol. I also machine a new female standard socket block. I modified the vest to have ratchets instead of the velcro.

John I sent the message below to the email listed on your website and it came back as a failed delivery:

John, this is Tim in Dallas, I've tried calling and texting you about the Xl H1 housing, but I keep getting a message that says your mailbox is full...I've got a gig coming up that'll require some water work and I'd really like to ask you about the housing (I've never had a water shoot)...I'm definitely interested in buying, but just need some clarification on a couple of issues before I pull the trigger...if you still have the housing, please give me a call when you get a minute (972.746.1665)...I think you tried calling me back initially but I was on the other line with my Dad trying to explain how to use Netflix (I felt like sticking my head in the toilet after 15 mins of breaking down how the instant feature worked...Dad<technology) and failed to recognize your area code (sorry 'bout that)...anyway, I'm usually available (seriously), so I hope to hear from you

Hey FEEDBACK!!!!...alright, thanks Kin, 136 views later I finally get a little direction...if ANYONE out there is interested in this camera, its literally just living in my closet and is eager to see the light of day, so just make me an offer and we'll take it from there...although, while I agree with Kin's assessment, I'd prefer to keep this a full package deal.

This has been used a few times indoors for scratch track recording. Bought new a year ago, I've since upgraded to a different setup so this needs to find a new home. Screen has had a protective cover on it since day one so no scratches. Complete with windscreen, protective case, 1GB SD card, mic stand adapter, manuals. Cannot find the original Cubase LE 4 disc so I have included updated version from Steinberg website on CD.

$240 Shipped CONUS, add $5 for AK and HI.

Interesting.. I had no idea that B&H sold cinevate stuff. I'm unsure if this rig is the heavy support configuration, as it does not state this, but the picture is correct. If so I can lower my asking price to $700. Shame though... I spent bout $200 more just a couple months ago!

The rig is practically brand new, and hasn't been used on a shoot. Just messing around in backyard.

Clearing out a lot of stuff, here's Some random items I'm grouping together for sale....

All prices include shipping in the ConUS...pics below all the listings.

$200 Sony broadcast field monitor model 8045Q

The pinnacle of Sony's CRT field monitors, and the standard of broadcasters. 4X3 or 16x9 switchable High Resolution (450 TV lines) standard definition field monitor with blue only, underscan, tally, and all the other professional broadcast features you'd expect. Designed to assure very stable and accurate color rendition. Perfect to color correct your FCP editing projects, or for accurate monitoring on location. Originally over $800.

Minty cosmetic and functional condition. This has been gently used, always indoors, mostly in studio conditions. Never rented out.

Rear panel connections: Y/C (s-video) in and out, component RGB in (SMPTE or Beta level), 2 selectable composite video in and out (loop-through), each with mono audio in and out. External sync in/out.

Versatile power options include AC in, DC 12V in (4-pin XLR), and battery power via dual NP-1 slots (batteries not included.) Power cord IS included, though not pictured.

$30 Velbon Video Monopod Model UP-4DX.
Fluid tilt head with locking quick-release. Rubber foot screws in to convert to spike foot. 4 sections with side lever locks. Perfect for small camcorders and video DSLR's. Great for documentary/wildlife photography/videography. I've even used it with my HVX200. Logo paint is partially rubbed off and other minor signs of wear but tubes are in perfect condition with no dings or dents and leg locks work great. Photo shows dried gunk from gaffer tape but I will remove that before shippping.Good for use as a still camera support, too. The newer model (UP-400DX) looks identical except for paint color, and sells for $49 with shipping.

$35 Manfrotto universal ground spreader for non-spiked tripods
Model 3155 (like the current model 165 but with black knobs instead of silver). For non-spiked tripods (or retractable spikes), has rubber tiedowns for each leg. Radius adjusts from 15-24 inches (for 32-52” footprint). Like new except for some very minor scuffing while in storage, never used. B&H new $56 incl shipping

$75 Blue dyed canvas photo backdrop-10ft w x 12ft long
Never used. A nice, heavy, hand-dyed muslin canvas portrait backdrop. Features a medium-dark blue color overall, with deliberate lighter and darker regions and a very subtle occasional “splatter”. Crumpled for that distinctive look. Sewn-in rod pocket. I think it is Westcott brand but can't find the invoice. Similar sells for $114 at B&H

I went on a deer scouting mission recently and had a chance to see the xha1 in action. A short talk with my wife and she was OK with me getting one for the upcoming season. So, that leads me to somewhat of a problem - I need to get rid of my xl1s first. It has been in one person's care it's entire life. I can assure you it has been in top care. For the most part, it has only been used over the last 6 years in October/November for the hunting months (mostly on weekends only).

With the few hours on the heads and all the accessories I would like to get $1300.00 out of it (to your door). If I am way off on the price, would you please let me know. I've seen cameras only going for over $1000.00 and I'm including extras (a very nice camera bag, windscreen, camkote, etc). Everything goes together.

Here is what is contained in the package:

Canon xl1s camera
Portabrace camera bag
Battery charger
2 batteries
windscreen
alternate shoulder mount
xlr input shoulder mount (for wireless mics)
Camkote rain jacket/cover

In the picture, you see a camera light for filming after dark...it is NOT INCLUDED (I originally included it, but realized it works on the new xha1 I'm getting).

Thanks!
