I've been lurking for months and have finally picked up my Z5U + MRC1K today!

I'm very impressed with the camera. The MRC works well but really would make more sense if it was built in. But I guess that's what the EX is for.

I'm busy familiarizing myself with the various controls. Not a big fan of the menu button and the select wheel locations.

I haven't run any tape through the machine yet. I love the look of my virgin Hours Meter. If I only use CF cards will only the Operation numbers change?

Yes, if you use only the MRC1, only the "Operation" hours will advance.

The "Virgin Hours Meter" is in the "Others" menu. If you set it to ON and walk into crowds it will count the virgins. At least it seems that way. Obviously there aren't many anymore because mine keeps reading "0 x 10".

I wish it had an option to set it to Money instead, so that you could tell who in the crowd has money. The manual is pretty easy to understand but I've still got more to read.

If I find out any of this information I'm giving you is wrong I'll repost for clarification.
