Chris, do you have any 4x4 filters left over from it you are interested in selling?

Chris Ferrer
May 26th, 2003, 02:14 PM
unfortunatley no, I never got around to buying them, I am still using my threaded ones.

Roze Ann, it's all yours. I might have a line on a mic, and also Keith has one I will be able to use while I'm in Florida, so it's all good.
Thanks for the offer though, Chris!

I haven't done one of these before, so forgive me if I don't know what I'm doing.

Anyone, I've decided the Varizoom MediaPro isn't for me, and I want to get rid of it. It's only been used a few times, and I believe I have all the original stuff, so I'm asking $350. That's about $100 less than the price on the Varizoom site, and 80 or so less than on B&H's site, just for reference. I think they also charge extra for the plate for the MA100, which I'll throw in free. I don't recall whether the screws you need are already in the MA100, or if they come with the shoulder support.

As for payment, I don't know. I have a Paypal account, but I don't know how all this jazz works. Maybe Chris can help me.

Perhaps you should mention the sizes you are looking for? Screw-on or the big square ones. Just a friendly suggestion.

Hi, you may get more interest if you include your asking price. Just a suggestion.

May 27th, 2003, 04:23 PM
I'm looking for $1200-1300 for the TRV 900. It is in mint condition. I'm looking to sell my camera so that I can purchase a PAL version.

So...if anyone is looking for a NTSC for PAL trade, let me know.

Thanks.

Ken,
Are you able to use filters on your 14x when the lens hood is on? I have found that to be a VERY frustrating problem with my 14x.

May 27th, 2003, 05:17 PM
Yes, I've not had trouble other than having limited finger-space for mounting and dismounting them. Is that what you mean?

Stephen Birdsong
May 27th, 2003, 06:15 PM
yeah, except i wouldnt call it limited space, I would call it no sace. Getting my polarizer on takes me 4-5 minutes. Getting it off is another hassle.

Dylan Couper
May 27th, 2003, 07:45 PM
I just take the lens hood off mine, put on the filter, then put the hood back on.

Stephen Birdsong
May 27th, 2003, 07:46 PM
I cant do that, the lense hood will not fit over the filter. Perhaps i need a different filter.

Hi,

Is there someone interested in buying a homemade stabilizer (a complete system: sled+arm+vest, with PAL monitor and battery for the monitor - a portable miniTV, actualy)?
You can see it on www.homebuiltstabilizers.com under "full rigs" - "cosmin's rig". You can also see a small video clip made with this stabilizer on the same page, under "video clips" - "cosmin's system".

Hi Zac,

I want 600USD plus shiping. The whole thing.

I gues I should get back with more info on the rig. Like how much camera weight can it handle and stuff. (now I have my canon xm2 on top, in a 3Kg cage)

What info should I post besides what's on homebuitstabilizers?

Zac Stein
May 30th, 2003, 05:52 AM
I think you should post as much as you can really, especially if it has any quirks that is due to it being homemade.

I have a new/never used Samson UHF 32 channel wireless setup for sale. It includes a diversity receiver, body pack transmitter, Sony ECM-44 lav microphone, an adapter to go from the receiver to XLR and a hard plastic carry case. I purchased 2 identical setups from Brian at Zotz Digital, one of this sites sponsors and I have not used this second setup yet. It does not include all the original packaging paperwork or the cardboard sleeve that the plastic case fits into but other than that, it is brand new. I purchased these about a year ago from Zotz for $550 each. B&H now sells them for $489.

The unit I am keeping has performed flawlessly over the past year, no drop outs, no static, nothing but amazing sound.

I am asking $375 firm. $15 for insured ground shipping

Hi –

I’d like to sell my XL-1 (no “s”). Really, I just don’t use it any more. I bought a GL-1 and never looked back. I locked the XL-1 into the camera safe where it has resided for at least 2 years. I consider it a back-up camera in case I ever need to impress a client or use it for a 2-camera shoot. Neither of those instances came up. I just purchased a GL-2. (Took delivery today!) The GL-1 will be the back-up. Though it may not impress the client, it’s a lot easier to carry in a backpack if I need to hike a trail. So here is the package. It’s in excellent shape:

Canon XL-1 with 16x lens it came with (also remote control, lens shade, manual, & original box)

MA100 XLR attachment so you can use professional XLR-wired microphones

Anton Bauer QR-XL-1-C. This includes an Anton Bauer gold mount that attaches to the MA100. It has a power step-down from 14.4 volts to 7.2 volts which runs the XL-1. A power tap connector in the top of the mount allows you to run a camera light and power the camera simultaneously (never did buy a light). There are two Proformer batteries (30 Watt hours each) and a Q2 two position charger. This was one of the cooler additions I found for the XL-1. The extra weight in the back really balances the camera for using shoulder-mounted. Plus, I liked the long runs of professional batteries.

Century Precision Wide Angle Adapter (not a zoom-through)

Lightwave Equalizer (furry windscreen for the on-camera mic)

Kata Rain Cover

Canon BP-915 and Charger

If bought new from B&H, cost is about $5030 (without tax or shipping). I'd like to get $3400 for it all. If you’d like to see a photo of everything, check out www.strongmountain.com/canonXL1.html. I would like to sell it as a package. If you’re interested, please contact me at info@strongmountain.com.

If you need to get rid of it faster, you could sell off individual components. You'll likely get alot more interest. It's hard to sell big lots like that one.

Dylan's right, few individuals will take the complete package, most people here already have their own equipment and have individual needs.

I for one, would be interested in the boom equipment, if you were willing to break it up.
