I had a LED trix when they first came out. I still think those are better than the new LCD's. Ir3's are well working markers if they are set up right and run with good paint. All this started cause of my e-mail address. lol

Back to selling my camera. I still have this baby for sale, I am really in no rush to sell it. I feel I will get the right buyer for this nice machine.

Anyone know where I can get lens and end caps for a Canon J15x9.5B4 KRS II 1/2" lens. I was given this lens in an NTT clean-out but it's missing it caps. I tried Canon Japan but they said they don't stock them anymore as it's an old lens.

Jeff Donald
July 13th, 2003, 05:18 AM
If you're looking for a front cap it should be standard size and available from larger photo retailers. But it won't say Canon. The rear cap will be a standard mount size, 2/3, 1/2 etc. mount. Any of the larger broadcast dealers will stock the cap. A retailer like B & H in New York would carry both.

Adrian Douglas
July 13th, 2003, 06:48 AM
Thanks Jeff, if it's just standard gear then I'll have to try one of the pro-video shops in Tokyo.

Would you be willing to sell me the 14x manual lense separate from the package? How low would you go? Please get back to me soon as I'm interested in buying this lense soon.

Thank you.

I'm interested in used and in good condition items at decent prices.

Looking for the 14x or 16x manual lense, or if the right deal comes along.. both. 14x is preferred but if I can't get it for a reasonable prices ($800 or lower I suppose) then the 16x is my next target.

Also, I'm inclined to a professional looking matte box and rig for the camera. The Cinetech Matte Boxs are what catch me the most. If anyone has any good deals on a rig, please let me know as this is what I'm most interested in, and will be used with either the 14x or 16x lense.

If anyone else has anything they think I might be interested in and is a great deal, feel free to let me know.

I'm looking to create this XL-1s setup (http://www.dvinfo.net/canon/images/images12.php). Looks are important, it contributes to the "professionalistic image" and often motivates crew to push harder due to the professional feel of the prodution. Gives them more pride.

Reply here or email me, please. Give me a call even.

Well, I can't do anything of this sort for at least a couple of weeks as I've just moved and have many other pressing priorities, and then I'd have to talk to the person that is caring for the camera right now to get the lens packed up and sent. I suspect sometime in 2-3 weeks time I'd be able to accomodate you.

This may be the perfect offer for me then, as it wouldn't be most convienient for me to buy it within the next few days. These next couple weeks will be pretty busy for me, too.

Thanks again :)

Due to recent shoulder surgery, I doubt my Glidecam will get much more use. V-8's commonly sell for $2,000 or more on ebay. This unit is in great shape and is only scratched where the arm goes on and off. A small 4 inch monitor with hood is included, counter balance weights and a Bogen quick release mounting adapter (aids in balancing camera). I am asking $1,800 plus shipping. I accept PayPal, Bank Checks and Money Orders.

This is a Image 2000 matte box. It uses 3 inch filters or Cokin P filters, with an adapter. It is ready to use with an XL1 or any XL lens. Adapter rings are available to mount it to other cameras or lenses. Image 2000's sell new for $395 and I'll let this like new matte box go for $175 plus shipping. I accept PayPal, Bank Checks or Money Orders.

This is a great tripod. I've owned Sachtlers, O'Connors, Bogens and none compare to the Vintens I've owned. This tripod had its head rebuilt last year ($600) and is in top condition. It sold new for over $5,000 and I'll let it go for $1,800. It has a ground level spreader, but no case. The drag adjustments are countinously variable. What does this mean? It works with any size or weight camera up to its rated maximum (around 30 to 35 pounds). The Vision 10 was replaced two years ago by the Vision 11, and is almost identical, mostly cosmetic differences. The distinctive light color is great in hot climates. Why am I selling it? After recent shoulder surgery, I purchased a lighter, carbon fiber triood. I was going to keep it for my second camera, but I'm down sizing my equipment. This tripod usually sells on ebay for $2,000.
