Hi all,

Currently I'm using a glidecam and xh-a1, and want to use a pro wide-angle lens on the front. My 16x9 Super Fisheye lens helps for a superb smooth glide but the fisheye effect is just too much after several shots, as you can imagine.

So my question is, which wide angle lens might i head for that will be a good all-rounder? (good wide field, little or no distortion, zoom-thru, well-made, not too heavy)

0.6, 0.7, 0.8x??? Century Optics? 16x9?

for my GL2 I have both a .3 semi fish-eye and the canon WD-58 which is a .7. The Canon lense is almost perfect. Very little distortion if at all and zoom through. But you pay for it in weight, I have to shift the GL2 waaaay back on my Glidecam4000's plate to get it balanced.

Regarding the weight, it really isn't horribly heavy, but on a Glidecam, small changes in weight at either extreme front / back of the camera will make a more noticeable difference in balance.
