View Full Version : multicart wheels unscrewing themselves?

Surely many of you have and use the rocknrollers/multicarts in your hauling around of gear. Or bodies, whatever works for you.

Twice, now, I've been pushing or pulling a load only to notice that during turns, my wheels (the smart ones) almost seem like they're going to crumple under the cart, instead of rotating like they're supposed to. When I get home and examine the cart, I find that the long screw that attaches the wheels to the cart body has become slightly unscrewed (rather the bold at the top has become slightly unscrewed). I retighten, and everything seems fine 'til the next time it happens.

Anyone else dealt with this? It's the R10 model (full size, two small smart wheels, two big pneumatic ones)

Try putting some loctite on it.

Thanks. could there be something wrong with how I assembled it? I followed the instructions, but, you never know. . .some subtle mistake. . .

Check to see if it's supposed to have lock washers installed.

Either way, a few drops of red Loctite will take care of the problem.

Thanks.

I would have thought multicart would have included everything you needed to get it up and running in the box. I did have to buy longer cotter pins for the large wheels 'cause the ones supplied were impossible (for me anyway) to bend.

I work with a couple other guys frequently who have these carts, and carry similar weight loads without their carts malfunctioning. . .
