Are you KIDDING me?

Does anyone know how (or does Vegas even have) a countdown leader? I am going to be prepping some stuff for broadcast and this crazy program has no countdown?? Sigh... It's these kinds of ommissions that make working with Vegas so maddening!!

If you don't want to cteate your own, Digital Juice (http://www.digitaljuice.com/dj_downloads/detail.asp?page=2&sortby=&display=video&downloadid=42) has a free one.
You'll need to be registered on the site to be able to do this but it's quick & painless.

AWESOME! I'll go grab it. And hopefully, it's not some crazy thing and just a basic countdown.

PM me if it is no good and I could possibly e-mail you a proper countdown clock in whatever format you need.

Do all the other NLEs have leaders then?

At the risk of being yelled at, nothing screams 'home made' more than the Adobe countdown leader (IMO).

Not a problem Ian. When I uses Premiere years ago, it had a countdown leader. I don't care if it is the "Academy" leader. In fact, I prefer a simple one since this is going to be submitted for broadcast. I'm not doing this for my entertainment.

Actually, that's an idea. I can pull a leader off one of the digital tapes I've made in the past.

That's just what I did - from a video I commissioned another company to make about eight years ago. Very simple and effective - and without the word ADOBE popping up!
