Maybe way off here, but did a search with no results. I may be helping in a muticam shoot of a concert. We will be using XHA1's and sony ex1. How do we set the cameras so footage matches?
Thanks,
John

My solution is to rely on the kindness of strangers… with flash cameras. Using Avid, I set IN points at the common “flash” frames for each camera.

Sorry I didn't explain good enough. I'm talking about setting the two cameras colors, images, etc. to match as close as possible.
Thanks,
John

Hi!
Try these settings..Canon xh-a1 - reduce red level ..maybe -15 and red green matrix -10.
And sony EX1 - use STD 4 gamma,-20 detail level.
best regards
Raul

Raul,
Could you explain how or what you used to determine these settings. I.e. did you have the cams running to a monitor or what did you use to compare the settings?
Thanks,
John

Before the concert, shoot the same white card on both cameras at the same time (i.e. under the same lighting). Ten seconds should be enough. You can use that as a reference for colour correction in your NLE.
