What are you guys doing about opening and closing the LCD screen with a light attached to the shoe. Is there a way without having to remove the light? I can't believe Sony designed the camera like this. Unless you can use the view finder with the LCD open.

Do they make any kind of extender for the FX-1000? I did some searching on the internet but I can't find anything.

Thanks!

This is what many find useful, it can be cut to length.

The FX1000 can be set to have the image displayed on both the LCD & viewfinder.

Sweet...I guess that fixes the problem.

Thanks to both Phil and Ken!
