I spent some time in the Dominican Republic filming beaches in HDV2 with a Sony HDR-FX1. I presume the footage is therefore in NTSC.

Back in Ireland, a friend has a HVR-V1E. I know it's a PAL machine (and that's all he uses it for), but I'm wondering if it will play back NTSC 1080i recorded on the FX1?

If it doesn't, does anyone know of a machine that will play the footage in Europe?
