Well, i bought hf100 thinking that tape is an old pice of ... i read a lot of enthusiastic reviews, thaf HF serie is a first camcorder that make video similar to hv cameras...

Well, in low light this camera is good, its still good in open area, but in forest, all i have is blurred picture...

Well, yes, i was moving with camera so the motion is high... but such horrible quality... i just can't belive it.

Btw, cameras with 24 bitrate can make higher quality?

I think the camera is fine. Looks to me like the woods scenes show marginal light conditions, shooting in the woods is frequently an exposure headache.

What I think I see is the result of shutter speed too slow to overcome whatever camera motion you had going.

I have 2 HF100's and have not seen anything like that because I almost always shoot with them "locked" on a tripod when I want things sharp and clear.

Remember that when working in the woods/forest you will always encounter reduced illumination. It will be worse in warmer seasons because foliage will block much more light than what is happening to you.

24Mbps bitrate will render detail better where motion is concerned but your HF100 will do a magnificent job for you if you will learn its limitations and work within them. Basically any real limitations that camera has is similar to what most other cameras have also.

And of course, if you've ever looked at any film frames, you'll see vast amounts of motion blur since they usually are shot using 1/48th second exposure times...

Can you recommend me any mode to capture video in snow forest? Shutter priority? Which should i use? 1/1000?

BTW, i saw similar footage from HV30/20 all was perfect
