Got to say I’m jealous of you hanging out surfing some of the best waves on the planet and being the owner of a HVR-Z7P. I hope you’ve got a water-housing for that!

I recently bought a Sony SR11 with a Sport Pack. Unfortunately the surf in Sydney has been rubbish lately but I’ve shot a few test water shots and stretched the footage in Vegas (turned it to slow motion) and the results have been impressive. I can only guess the HVR-Z7P will be more than up to it. Just hope you’ve got the wallet to pay for the telephoto :) Even digital zoom on the SR11 is pretty good but I’m sure you didn’t buy the HVR-Z7P to sacrifice quality.
