One of his earliest roles that I've seen is Battleground from 1949 but his resume goes back further than that. What a lengthy stage, film and television career he had... here's Ricardo's take on a small Chrysler: YouTube - 1975 Chrysler Cordoba (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vIL3fbGbU2o)

Nobody could say 'fine Corinthian leather' like Ricardo did. Don't know why, but the phrase from the Chrysler commercials has stuck with me all these years.

RIP Ricardo.

Relatively recently in the Spy Kids movies as well. Good Journey Sir!

He helped make Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan the best of all the Star Trek movies...in my opinion, of course. He played a great bad guy. "There she is! There she is...Ah, not so crippled as we were led to believe. So much the better!"

CH, I have to smile at the Chrysler ad--not only do I remember (like Greg) those ads so well, I think it's funny that the Cordoba was considered a "small" car. I thought it was a boat. :)

I'll side with Lorinda on WOKhan being the best ST movie.

When it was released into theatres, I was a wee young lad but remembered having seen the original episode where Khan is imprisoned on reruns of the original series and said to myself "wow, cool"

My favourite ST villain. Rest in peace, Ricardo, on a couch made from rich real corinthian leather.

PS. I actually owned a Cordoba for about a year and ALL my friends asked if it was adorned with "real corinthian leather". Sadly, it was clad in "faux corinthian fabric"...

A twinge of nostalgia... The Singing Nun is currently showing on TCM, and awhile back my DVR had picked up A Life In The Balance (with a very young Anne Bancroft and Lee Marvin) which the wife and I finally watched the other night. The man may be gone, but the work lives on.

. . . and don't forget one of his more recent roles - as a talking cow in Family Guy!
