Here are my two choices:
Matthews | M25 Tripod System | M25 | B&H Photo Video (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/502679-REG/Matthews_M25_M25_Tripod_System.html)
Davis & Sanford | Pro Vista Tripod with FM 18 | PROVISTA7518B (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/243272-REG/Davis_Sanford_PROVISTA7518B_Pro_Vista_Tripod_with.html)
This is for a Sony HVR-HD1000U, which weighs 6 lbs and has a heavy back, I suppose mostly because of the large battery. My main concern is how fluid the head is. I don't want sudden jumps or bounce, which happens to me with a Velbon head I have. I plan on buying either of them this week, so if anybody has experience with these two, or at least the brands, please let me know.
Thanks,
Sebastian
