View Full Version : Compaq DLT 4000 Drivers

Please excuse this post, it belongs nowhere really, but I'm in a fix, trying to build a DLT master from an Edius project through Encore CS3.
Recently an older PC running XP, suffered a drive failure and took with it the drivers for my Compaq DLT4000 scsi deck, which worked fine
with this PC for years.

I've downloaded several versions of these drivers from HP, who took over Compaq years ago, Quantum, who built the unit
or so I believe, and various NT4, Win XP Win 2K versions - all to no avail.

All these drivers start to load, then Windows reports error 39, drivers are "corrupt or missing" so no go.

The deck is seen by Windows so the scsi is fine. All my differing Encore and older DVDworkshop report no DLT drivers loaded.

If anyone has even the most remote idea of how to get this to work I'd be most grateful.

Happy New Year

Paul

Hi,

This is on an XP system, but, I have managed to pull the original .sys files from the old drive, and drop them into the new win32/drivers folder - I checked, and an Aspi related driver was missing - all fixed - this should work with XP out of the box, but hey, now I'm up and running after 9 hours of painful detective work.

Thanks
