I'm using Vegas Movie Studio 9 Platinum, with AVCHD support. Since DVD Architect Studio 4.5 won't burn anything but DVD's I am using the Movie studio platinum editing software and selecting Burn Movie/Make Movie.

Under Project I select Make Movie. From there I select the DVD, Blu-ray Disc, or CD. Then select Blu-ray and go with the Sony AVC format (Blu-ray 1440x1080, 60i, 15Mpbs video template.

When I get done and have a disc, it does not work on the Panasonic BD35--says not supported, after it detects it is a DVD. I can read it in my laptop but not my desktop.

Thoughts on how I can make a DVD using the AVCHD format to play on this Blu-Ray player using this SW?

Thanks,
-dan

Tom - That does work! Thanks, I really appreciate it.

Too bad one has to do that "hacking" to get it to work, how come the SW just can work properly? Is this due to encryption/certificate and blu-ray distribution rights / protection?

The video looks SO much better than DVD.

Good Going!

(I don't know why the hacking is necessary. I suspect it's intended to promote Blu-ray burners and media in lieu of DVD5/9)
