I have the original Optura, my the only issue I have with this great video unit, is a hot pixel, to use a term from the still photo, part of me.
I have a friend who has gone through two different units, with the same issue, in the same region of the sensor, which is about just above the centre and to the right.
His second unit went to Canon for replacement of the sensor, and the issue is gone, as they replaced the sensor.
I can't go that route, right now, so am wondering, if there was a software fix, when in the editing mode. I am using Premiere 6.5 and Premiere Pro.
I know it will add to the rendering time, as it will be a frame by frame fix, but am willing to give it a go, I just need some info on how to go about masking this pixel.
Hope someone can answer this.
Thank you.
