I'm working in DVD Studio Pro. A couple of months ago I did create true 16.9 wide screen. And when I played it on a 4.3 monitor, it was letterboxed. Which is fine.

What is that magic button or setting I'm forgetting to achieve this?
This link below is the only place I think I'm supposed to be for this setting.
As you can see, the only choice that comes close is the 16.9 letter boxed setting.

Just some other info. Original footage is true 16.9 from Sony EX-1, and I'm making a standard def DVD. I appreciate any help, thanks.

It might seem a little counter-intuitive but all you need to do author your video with widescreen SD delivery in mind and a PAR of 1.2. It's the DVD player, knowing whether the connected TV's aspect ratio is 4:3 or 16:9, that will automagically display the correct image. If the user has told the player that the TV is 4:3, the player will letterbox wide screen video without any user intervention.

I don't know how it's done, but my guess is there's a bit on your disk somewhere that tells the player the video is widescreen. Then it handles the display correctly.
