I'm editing hdv, planning to upload short avi clips so my friend can put them in AE (Premiere) then send them back to me. When I render to avi, using default settings, and try to play it on my PC I get audio but no video. When my friend downloads the clip this is what he sees. What in the world am I doing wrong?

What codec are you picking? Worst case you might try uncompressed. Otherwise, you might look at the Cineform codecs - assuming your friend also has Cineform.

I was choosing the template HDV 1080-60i intermediate, which then gave the codec option Cineform HD V2.8.

For what I am trying to accomplish, what would be the best way to share the files? Just to see what would happen I tried 3 seconds using uncompressed. The file was 576 MB. Rendering to wmv looks fine, by the way.
