Last night we shot a three camera concert which was mixed live and broadcast on the internet. The guy with the video mixer only had s video cables. Since the A1 doesn't have an S video out, I connected the the av/1 output to a Radio shack "4 way audio/ video selector", and the s video out of the radio shack to the videonics mixer. The guy mixing claimed that the image was terrible, and we ended up switching cameras.
I've used this set up before when using my A1 on a jib. I ran the av/1 into the radio shack and the RS into my monitor, and it worked fine. I noticed that the A1 also has a bnc out. I don't know if the mixer had a bnc in, but I want to be prepare for next time.
Has anyone else run into this problem? if so, how did you solve it?
thanks

I would also like to know more about the possibilities of connecting cameras (which don't have s video output fitted) to the s video inputs of a vision mixer. I know I could always use composite but the image quality is not good. Firewire is OK for me (Videonics MXPro DV) but the cable length restriction rules it out sometimes.

I used before a video signal converter made by ADS Technologies call PYRO A/V LINK.
I tried to find it at B&H where I bought it but all I found was this;
ADS Technologies | ADS Tech DVD Xpress DX2 | USBAV-709-EF | B&H (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/424696-REG/ADS_Technologies_USBAV_709_EF_ADS_Tech_DVD_Xpress.html)
I'm not sure if it is the same product. My Converter will take fire wire signal and converted to RCA or S-Video or vice-versa.
