I have just loaded the Sony xdcam Clip browser and SXS driver on my new Mac ready for importing my EX1 files. it seems that all was fine until I loaded the SXS driver and my Mac had a tantrum and went on a go slow . It Can see the Express card on the desk top but refuses to import it. Is there a newer version of the SXS driver and has anyone else experienced this problem yet? At the moment I can't import an important job and its driving me to say things like flip and fiddlesticks!!

Yes there is an issue and Sony supposedly will be updating the driver. There seems to be a conflict between the driver and the trackpad. In the meantime there's a slew of Apple firmware updates for the Late 2008 MacBookPros so you should instal them ASAP although they won't fix this particular problem. I've heard Sony will have a fix either sometime this month or early next.

Wow, Sony Canada is almost always first with the EX updates. Yes it does say New October 2008 MacBooksPros supported.

The link Bob sent did the trick for me. I had the same problem with my MACbook Pro and the driver that came with the camera on the CD. The update works fine.
