If anyone's looking for a good backpack for the EX1 then the HB-207 from Kata works really well. I posted some pics of my EX1 & Brevis in the backpack on my blog if anyone's wondering how well it fits.

I too own the Kata HB-207 and it works well with the EX1.

It WILL fit in any airliner overhead. I flew down to Ecuador on an Airbus and the gate people gave me trouble (in Los Angeles, and no where else) because my backpack wouldn't fit into their overhead bag measuring device.

I was finally able to convince them to let me try it and when I got on, I had 3" to spare. They need to update those things.

I doubt you'd get away with it in the UK, at 64cm it's too tall by 9cm. They're getting very strict these days and would probably make you check it.

I have the HB-205 and my EX1 fits quite well standing up rather than on its side, although it's a bit snug.

I have been on about two dozen flights this year with the EX-1 and HB-207 backpack, and only once did I have to check it (and only because I was the last to board and the overheads were full). I was on one small commuter jet that it did not fit in the overhead, but the seat next to me was empty so I sort of got it under that seat. Great backpack!

I have this too and Ive flown with it a lot in Europe and to China, no problems whatsoever :)
