I gotta friend with a VX-2100 it looks new even though its 4 years old he never uses it until now. When we fired it up we get purple video that we cant white balance. I think its the CCD block we are going to plead our case with Sony but id like to get into the camera hours menu so I can say how little this camera has been used. Can someone tell me how to get into it?

AFAIK, only Sony has the tool needed to do that. Frankly I don't think you stand much chance with Sony doing a R&R at NC but it sure won't hurt to ask.
