Using Vegas 7. Had to reinstall on new computer. Here's the problem. Cannot capture audio from cd. It says- scanning for cd device. No problem capturing audio & video from dvd. Doesn't make sense. Did I miss a setting or something? or a problem with this new computer?

Can you capture audio from a cd using other ripper software?

Try one of the free ones - just to eliminate the possibility of something else other than Vegas:

I installed a ripper and was able to capture and import that way. Just will take longer to do it this way. What could be wrong with Vegas. Never had this problem before.
