I can't seem to get my computer to recognise my HV30.
I'm running XP pro Service pack 3. and Edius Pro 3 software.
This machine has no problem recognising Sony VX2100 or FX7 cameras.

Any ideas??

Hi,

If you are using the HDV mode, try using HDVSplit utility for HDV capturing with scene split - HDV capture utility (http://strony.aster.pl/paviko/hdvsplit.htm).

It's free, and your computer should recognize it. Edius should handle the m2t files, too.

Try having the camera turned on and connected to the firewire port BEFORE you turn the computer on.
