I'm about to buy an HD200, and there's obviously lots to learn about this camera.

I see from a recent thread a number of people discussing the various ways to fit Nikon DSLR lenses to the JVC.

I use Canon DSLR cameras and have a number of Canon lenses. Is it possible to fit these to the JVC?

I don't believe this is possible. Two things work against it -- the Canon EF back focus distance is too short (Nikon is just long enough to be compatible with the JVC 1/3" mount) and Canon's proprietary electronic lens controls would require some form of licensed interface (many Nikon lenses are fully mechanical).

Thanks Earl, that explains a lot

No offence to previous post
it's barely enough to put the lens in focus to inifinity
but if u build one might be very tricky.

yes, EF lens uses eletronic to control the aperture
but if u use max is fine
