Someone's gotta find a way apply a knee to the top of that gamma curve. Highlights come in way too hot in all the 5dmkII footage we've seen to date. This video wasn't as bad as the wedding footage, but human faces especially seem to blow out to electronic white quite easily... nevermind white shirts and bright skies.

Wow. Amazing. I hope Canon is paying attention to this. They need to put this technology into a proper video camera system. Simply put, they could change everything.

I'll keep screaming this to the other camera companies. This is how you leak the first bits of footage from a camera. Contrast what you've seen from the 5D MkII with the stuff that just hit the internet from the A-Cam dII. Canon's marketing has been masterful.

Maybe the 5DmkII clipped highlights would benefit from careful use of Tiffen ultracon filters and some post production. They were of limited use in the past for low light because sensors weren't fast enough. Maybe they will work now that the 5DmkII does increased sensitivity with ease.

That has concerned me too, but its not on all the videos. Some videos don't have any clipping and its much worse on others.
I'm guessing some of the videos are just simply overexposed. Possibly when they locked the AE on a different shot.
