Bob Paul Kellett November 14th, 2008, 11:06 AM I'm using vegas pro 8 (c) and vista home premium, no problems, it flies along. Paul. Jeff Harper November 14th, 2008, 11:48 AM If you have a capable PC that is completely suitable for Vista, you should have no issues. Vista is extremely stable. Vegas runs pretty much the same on Vista as on XP. Jerome Cloninger November 14th, 2008, 12:04 PM I'm running it with Vista Home Premium and in my opinion, runs better than on XP. No issues at all. Mark Duckworth November 14th, 2008, 10:10 PM Running it on Vista 64. No problems to report. Bob Safay November 15th, 2008, 05:40 AM Hey thanks, that is just what I wanted to hear. My 8 year old HP may need replacing and all I see out there is Vista. Thanks again for the quick responses and your help. Bob Greg Boston November 15th, 2008, 06:01 AM Add me to the list. Vegas 8.0C running on Vista Business. It loads pretty fast! -gb- Roger Shealy November 15th, 2008, 06:22 AM Running on Vista Home 64, no problems. John Rofrano November 16th, 2008, 09:10 AM If you are going to upgrade to a Vista machine I would highly recommend that you get Vista 64. There is no advantage to using Vista 32 as you are still constrained to less than 4GB of memory like XP. I have Vegas Pro 8.0c and 8.1 running in Vista 64 with no problems. Most of the new Quad-Core machines will come configured with Vista 64. This is the way to go. ~jr Jeff Harper November 16th, 2008, 09:42 AM Disregard post Chris Barcellos November 16th, 2008, 12:48 PM I am running Vista Home premium and c. Not a problem. I have a Quad core q6600 processor Running Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit with 6 gigs of Memory(DDR 3) Had a Radeon 3870 X2 Video Card (Sent Back ) Thanks John Lorince November 23rd, 2008, 12:05 AM I meant to say that I have had alot of video driver errors. Not sure how to edit posts here yet. Hey guys I just made the move to 64 bit ultimate and I have not had alot of errors with my video card. Havent done much work yet but both 8.0c and 8.1 are up and running. Had a little issue though cause I first installed 8.1 without installing 8.0c and some render options werent available (like mxf and mpeg werent there). Solution is to install 8.0c first and then 8.1 and it works. sami |
