Hi All,

I'm currently in Thailand with all my gear and I'm heading to Cambodia in a couple of days.. Unfortunately I've found that the Rode SVM is picking up way to much noise from my HV30.

I would like to try and get a hot shoe extender or something similar either in Bangkok or Phnom Penh.

I have a Rode NTG2 with a pistol grip so I could hold that at a pinch but really it's only suitable to use when the camera is on the tripod as the HV30 with Canon's WA adapter is too heavy (or at least off balance due to the extra weight on the front) to hold in one hand whilst maitaining a steady shot.. at least for me it is.

Any suggestions or ideas welcome and much appreciated!

Gav

A simple Google search showed this:
http://www.rodemic.com/distributors.php

Hi Drew,

Thanks for the reply but unfortunately the distributor in Bankgok is an audio store not a video store. I have emailed and asked them anyway but I was really hoping to find a pro video store.

Thanks again,

Gavin

Try Fortune Mall located right at the intersection between Rama 9 and Ratchadapisek Road. I've seen advertisements on the internet sometime ago from a pro video store located in the Mall and that is also where Sony has a retail professional/broadcast equipment store.

I've not been there for many years but you should be able to find something useful that otherwise are hard to find at most consumer video outlets. Good luck.
