I was looking at changing my business name and was wondering something. If I like say the name "Paramount" or "Dreamworks" names of big production companies. Would I still be able to use that name for my business without any legal issues?

No, you would run into issues.

You should definitely talk to someone with legal credentials before you make a real decision.
As for opinions .. I'd say you might be okay with the name "Paramount Wedding Videos", but if you use the exact name that Paramount uses then you could definitely have issues at some point. It's even worse considering you are in a similar industry.
Still, if you're serious about it, talk to someone with legal credentials.

What about "Lucasfilm/Spielberg/TomCruise Wedding Productions"? That would be ok...

To "borrow" the name of of a major film production company would be insane. Don't do it. Don't include their name anywhere in your name. Stop thinking about it!
It would be cheesy anyway and show no class at all on your part.
Choosing a name can be a very difficult process. But on the other hand you can over analyze it as well.
Here's a suggestion: Dreamcatcher Video. It so happens the domain name dreamcatcher.net is available also. DreamcatcherVideo.com is taken, but you don't have to have a .com address.
Good luck.

Don't do it.

Thanks for the feedback. Guess I'll move on to another name. Although I do like "Lucasfilm/Spielberg/TomCruise Wedding Productions". Could shorten it to LST Wedding Productions.

Or you could go LSD Wedding Productions and get a whole different clientele. ;)
