Here is a short film I made trying to stir up some of the ideas behind peoples videos. See what you think.
YouTube - Video that drives you? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kb_c6geKV4)
If you have an account on youtube leave a comment on what steers you to certain videos. I'm kind of curious to see what drives people to make a video or short film.
Thanks Chris

Interesting. I like the theme/subject, but I think it didn't deliver what was promised. I was expecting more, and instead got what seemed to be a lot of random / uninteresting shots that had nothing to do with the theme/subject. Definitely an interesting topic for a video, but I wish you could have shown more pertinent shots about "what video drives you".

I could have put some compelling video of news and politics and other stuff. I like to think that I put everything into it that was shot by myself and not copyrighted. I'm really not into that sort of thing.

Yeah that's a good thing. But I still would have liked more shots (by you) that said "Family" "Entertainment" "Politics", etc. I think you could make it a strong piece if it had more pertinent video. The editing and music are well done, it's just the content doesn't match.

Well back to the drawing board we go. Thanks for the insight on what you think I really appreciate it seriously. Good thing about video is you can edit it over and over again. What would you suggest on politics? Family I can do. Sports might be hard since there are usually so many people watching and I would have to get their sigs for filming. Entertainment is so vast that one should be easy.

Well I removed it so I could try and rework it out to some of your suggestions Thanks for the input.

So, wait, you took it down based on the critique of one guy? Are you curious to see what anyone else thought, or if other people had other thoughts or ideas?

I had it on other forums also. I got a few replies but for the most part no comments on it. I figured I would try and rework it based on some of the ideas that were given. What your critique said was almost mirrored on a few other sites. Now I have a common idea of where to go. I will repost after a few more runs with it!
