I found the Apple Pro Training Series book with DVD to be an excellent self-paced tutor.

I also like the Apple Pro Training books, definitely a good buy. You could also contact The Edit Center (http://theeditcenter.com/), they offer custom training and have a nice community of working editors and instructors. They are expensive, but I've taken their 6-week editing course and had a very good experience.

There's also Lynda.com (http://lynda.com/) or Ripple Training (http://rippletraining.com/).
