Im using a q6600 Quad system. When i render with Vegas normally my CPUs run at 100%. An hour of Hdv takes around 55minutes. When i use MB looks my CPUs run on average at about 25%. This is only when i add MB. Any effects that came with vegas dont give me any problems.

Anyone else find this?

The MB Looks effects aren't multi-processor aware so it drops you down to 1.

Multi threaded is the word and its not a word MB knows about.

Its for this reason I try and re-create its effects using the built in plugins as much as possible and use looks for the little, special moments. Otherwise were talking 4x longer to render.

Thats what im doing now. Its still a great tool to have. I find i use it more for highlight clips, promos ect
