It seems that the Sony HVR-MRC1K memory recording unit (delivered togehther with the Z7) is sold separately.

Even better, I allready found a Dutch site selling it for a price that's lower then the cheapest firestore.

Hey Noa, could you email me the link to the site? I'm not sure if it would be a breach of DVInfo policy to post a link in the general forum for a supplier who isn't a sponsor, but since it would be a Dutch site it may be an exception.

tax included it is 695 euro, for comparison, the cheapest 40gb firestore costs here around 730 euro.
