Looking for a way to get the strain off my back during shoots. Does anyone know where I can get suspenders? I have NRG belts, a Day Pro, and a Field Pro systems.

Harold Schreiber October 29th, 2008, 10:34 AM Hi Vince, Are you tring to suspend some of the weight from around your waist (from the belts), and put some of that load to your shoulders ?? If so, do you think that might help your back issue ?? Harold Vince Lucena October 29th, 2008, 10:47 AM I guess, the belt starts to bug me because I have it snug so it does not flop around. I figure if suspended, I can loosen abit. Don Bloom October 29th, 2008, 11:36 AM try any of the big box home improvement stores. in the tool department they have suspenders for tool belts, you might find something that'll work there. Don Harold Schreiber October 29th, 2008, 10:07 PM Hi Vince, Whatever "suspenders" you end up with, I'd suggest that you have some kind of wide shoulder pieces. If they don't come with some, then just make some. They will help save your shoulders. Harold Vince Lucena October 30th, 2008, 06:40 AM Thanks for help everyone... Doug Bennett October 30th, 2008, 09:46 AM I have used suspenders with a Bescor battery they certainly help and allow a much looser belt. But the belt/suspenders combo is a pain to take on an off in a hurry Martin Catt October 30th, 2008, 05:51 PM I've had success rigging a Sam Browne Belt-type suspension, essentially an extra over-the-shoulder strap from the heavy side of the belt to the opposite shoulder. See: Sam Browne belt - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_Browne_belt) for details. A little less awkward than suspenders, and puts the support on the heavy side of the belt. We use the NRG Power Pro+ and they weigh 5 lbs. |
