Wanted to let anyone that is interested that B&H is accepting orders for the FX1000 and filling them! Waiting on mine. With a call to customer service I was informed they have been receiving them and selling out as soon as they arrive. Apparently they are arriving in trickels, as they put it.

To keep this directly relevant to this FX7 forum, I would say that I imagine this could be true of the FX7 at the new price as well, though I didn't think to ask about that so I don't know for sure. But if you are thinking about purchasing either cam, it might be worth checking out.

Is the fx7 being re-released with any new features or updates or is it just going to be the exact same fx7 at the dropped price?

Judging by the press releases from Sony, there is no mention of any improvements or changes. I am pretty sure it is just a re-release with a lower price.
