i had these set to start
1. gain at -3db
2. 30p and 1/60 sec
start with cine4 and
3. black gamma -18
4. detail level +30, should have set to higher for this trip
5. skin tone detail -99, should have set higher as children have perfect skin.
i had AF set as it was hard to stable the camera by hand, make sure the children i was responsible for was safe and film at the same time.
i would bring a light weight monopod next time.
Very nice. What profile settings did you use?

just played the DIVX piece off an external hard drive with a Playstation 3 to a 64" HDTV using 1080i mode.
(remember that the original program was in 1080p-30 and then i DIVX'ed into 720p for size.
about 300mb for 10 minutes at the highest DIVX settings for 720p)
at 8 feet, the grain is almost gone.
it appears that the Playstation 3 has the latest DIVX codex as the DIVX logo comes on during play.
neat!
go try it.
