Attached is a screen grab of a section on the extreme right of the image from my EX1 (firmware v1.11). The width is about a 1/12 of the frame width. I had not noticed any chromatic aberration before, but this seems significant. Anyone seen similar?

CA seems to be an ever-present problem with HD. You can get rid of it to some extent in post. Also if you underexpose it can help (then pull up the exposure in post). But even fairly pricey lenses seem to show it.

Nick,
Seems quite extreme though in this case as the contrast isn't stupidly high between the foreground and background. Is the frame from a zoom move? The chromatic aberation reduction stuff from the lens only kicks in when the zoom has finished.
do you get this all the time?
cheers

Nick what was the magnification and did you add another lens?

It was pretty much full zoom, but I was not zooming at the time. The CA is only visible at the right of the frame. I was using 1/500 shutter but cannot see that this would make any difference.

I see CA like that when fully zoomed on distant targets or landscapes, at the edges, at larger apertures.
The lens seems really sharp and good when zoomed in on closeup targets.

Same amount of CA here, too. Red on one side, green on the other. Seen mostly at full zoom.
