Does anyone have a tool of choice or even a work around.
I have a text only (but with a static .jpg image background) slide show that merely pops in another line of text every few seconds, a progressive transcript type of thing. I probably might have been able to make it while in Premiere but as it is, it is a PPT.
I didn't see any handy "save as" options that looked convenient.
Image quality would be classified as "hobby" but a screen capture recorder I think would be a bit too rough.
Thanks for any suggestions.

1. Screen capture it as video at best quality.

2. Powerpoint should have an option to save all frames out as still jpgs or something. You will not get any text animations with this method. If you need those, then use option #1.

Also, not sure about how this is being used but a few things to keep in mind–

If it's a powerpoint that is part of a conference/lecture with cameras rolling, and the PP is being viewed via laptop to projector, you can get a converter to take the laptop as a video source.

Additionally, if making a DVD for a client, you can include the PP as a PDF as DVD-ROM content.

Hope this helps.

Find a Mac with powerpoint, then open it up and export as quicktime movie.

File--> Make Movie

Keynote will also work.
