Hello DVi,

I'm interested in getting the NIKON adapter MTF Services makes for the JVC PRO HD cameras. I read that the adapter has a magnification factor of 7x. So my 50mm f1.4 lens would be a 350mm f.1.4 lens.

Is there anyway to use a nikon lens and its correct focal length on the HD100 without a 35mm adapter on the Fuji lens. Are there adapters for my HD110 that attach to the mount itself and offer the correct focal length of the lens.

I think Letus made something awhile but discontinued it....

Thanks,
Mike

P+S and the JVC HZCA13U will both fix to the camera without the JVC stock lens. The problem with these two adaptors is that they are both designed exclusively for the JVChd cameras. This makes them expensive when you would want to use adaptors on more than one brand of camera such as me! That said there are other P+S models that are not JVC specific.

I don't think you'll find any way of attaching a 35mm lens directly without an adaptor I'm afraid. Some people have tried wide angle adapters and wide angle lenses with MTF adaptors etc to compensate for the magnification. I doubt the results are satisfactory. If they were, companies like Letus, Brevis and M2 would be out of business by now!

The JVC adapter is even better indeed, because there's no 'ground glass' or anything. The adapter uses the image format of 16mm instead of 35mm, though. You'll be able to use that adapter for the bast quality and highest versatility (shutter speed, aperture control etc - no limitations like with Mini35(c) or any other 35mm adapter), but you will still loose a bit of angle of the 35mm lenses...
