Good day all,

I was wondering if someone had already tried to hook up an HVR-HD1000 to a mattebox. If we take a look at the camcorder with the lens hood removed, like here:

it remains to be seen if there is enough room around the lens tube for a mattebox. The handgrip module is pretty near the lens, especially at the bottom.

If there is someone that has any ideas on this matter, I 'd appreciate the input.

Thx.

maybe an accordian-style mattebox would work?

Pls see attached files. I used a 95mm to 37mm adapter to fit into the universal mattebox.

I have to ask ... where did you get the matte box and rails? Looks like a great combination.
