Hi Fawaz
I haven't had the opportunity to try the VZ-Rock, but I have the Pro-L. I like the VZ-Pro-L very much, it's a very fine controller I use mostly with my jib. The only drawback I can think of, is that I can turn my camera on from standby mode but not off, with this controller.

Fawaz,
I also have the VZ-Pro-L and I like it a lot. I chose the button type over the rocker type because it seems like I have more control that way...but that's just me. The rocker type seems to be the most popular.
But before you make any decision, click here and read a thorough review of the VZ Rock by Ken Tanaka (http://www.dvinfo.net/articles/camaccs/vzrock.php).

I agree with you John. I feel I have more control with VZ-Pro-L. Compared to my LANC control handle from Manfrotto (works fine, by the way), I got more control while zooming.

If I were you I'd avoid the Rock and the Stealth. I've just completed a review for Computer Video magazine (out in a week or so) and I was very disappointed indeed. I should let you know that I tested them on Sony's TRV900, VX2000 and TR2000 and not on the XL-1s, so your mileage may vary.
