I use Dreamweaver CS3 and Flash Encoder CS3. I'm putting up videos on my webpage.
The videos will not be auto-start. Does anyone know how to have a frame grab or the arrow (eg., youtube) show instead of a blank player screen?

You would have to build that into the player you are using I think. I would suggest using the JW FLV player or the Flo Player which have tons of features and are solid products :) I use the JW FLV Player on my website :)

Using the JW flash player is a good idea, but I'm hoping to find a way using the built in flash installer in dreamweaver, to avoid adding another layer of complexity to this thing. Is suspect there is no way to do that within dreamweaver, but I thougt I give it a shot...I'll try the adobe forum too..thx

You put the player and the frame-grab in their own DIV's, position the frame/arrow over the player DIV and use the "on click" event to hide the top DIV and play the video. This can be done in CSS and/or JavaScript.
However, it is much easier to use my fellow Dutchmans' player (or FlowPlayer which is also excellent).
Use the Jeroen Weijering Setup Wizard (http://www.jeroenwijering.com/?page=wizard) to easily configure all options. Under "file properties" you can use the "image" field to insert (the location of) the frame grab of your choice to use as a thumbnail.
You're then down to cut-and-paste action to insert the code into your web page.
