Hi guys

I'm going to be shooting a short doc film competition with the new Panasonic Varicam 2700 in about 2 weeks time. I have the camera for only 1 day but will get a number of hours of training before hand. My own camera is the JVC HD110.

I just thought I'd throw up this thread because I'm both excited to be using it, but very apprehensive about producing the goods in such a short time. So any experience, tips or general re-assurance ;-) from more experienced shooters would be great!

Cheers folks

I dont think the 2700 is out yet but...

Go to your friendly local rental house and ask them if you can check out an hpx3000/2000 or varicam/hdx900. That should make you feel better. They aren't difficult cameras to use at all.

Yeah, if I can find the time that could be worth while I guess. We are the first folks to be using the 2700, in the UK I think, they are being specially supllied by panasonic for the comp!
